'W' squared Wednesdays -3

Hey everyone! I have finally decided to order some books online! I'm not sure when they'll come in, but I'm super excited to get them! Anyways, here's what's up with today's post: every Wednesday I will post a book I am waiting for it's release in 2012 and also any books I am wanting to read but haven't had the chance yet. Then hopefully, my next IMM will have one of those books in it! (Crossing fingers). Feel free to join me in this bookish meme!

Waiting for:

When I heard Laren Conrad was coming out with a new novel I almost screamed. Her series 'L.A. Candy' was such a cute, fun read! I'm so excited for this book which follows Madison, who was a character from Conrad's last books. Madison is such a diva and had a really cool background, so I'm really excited to read more about her!

Wanting:

This is my number one MUST-READ right now. I have ordered it off of Amazon and I am desperately needing it! I haven't been able to find it anywhere! Not one of the four book stores I have been to recently have had it in stock. How weird is that?! If you've read this book, tell me what you thought!

I finished 'Pandemonium' last night so I will post my review on it tomorrow!
Until then, good bye!

Teaser Tuesday -3

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Page 198.

I wall myself up inside. From the tower, the people on the ground are no more than ants, specks, punctuation marks: easily smudged out.
"I'm an Invalid," I say. "We lie."

Hope this amps up some excitement for the release of this book today! I'm loving it so far! (I'm on page 229.)

Goodnight everyone!

Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Happy Pandemonium Release Day everyone! I thought that since tons of reviews will be coming about the new book, I'd tell you my thoughts on 'Delirium,' the first book of this amazing series! And then as soon as I finish 'Pandemonium' I will tell you all about that as well!
Author: Lauren Oliver
Publisher: HarperTeen
My Rating: 5/5 ~ Adored it!

Goodreads Description:
Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

I have been really into dystopian stories lately. I love the whole concept of our future being controlled by a government that believes they are doing the right thing, but then the protagonist discovers the truth. It's frightening but at the same time fascinating! I think this series is replacing Hunger Games as my new favorite dystopian books. I cannot even describe how much I love this book! Oh my goodness! I loved Alex from the get-go and I knew they were going to be together! I think Lena was a great character. Her vulnerability and total complete faith in the cure  changes to a love for Alex and a determination to be able to love him freely. I thought the way that Lauren Oliver wrote this novel was truly great. It's a very inspiring love story... the ultimate forbidden love! And then... the end! OH THE END!!! D:  I cannot begin to say how distraught I was after reading the last page. But now, there's Pandemonium which I am currently over halfway done (!!!) and we just have to wait and see what happens, I guess!

Enjoy reading Pandemonium! I'll let you know what I thought as soon as I'm done!
I'll post a teaser in a little bit, I completely forgot about it!

:)

Eve by Anna Carey

Hello everyone! It feels like it's been so long since I've done just a plain review and I have such a huge list of books I've read recently. Therefore, today I decided I'd tell you guys about Eve by Anna Carey. I finished this about a week ago so it's sort of long overdue!

Author: Anna Carey
Publisher:HarperTeen
My Rating: 3/5 ~Not my favorite, but it was okay!

                                                                      Goodreads Description:

The year is 2032, sixteen years after a deadly virus—and the vaccine intended to protect against it—wiped out most of the earth’s population. The night before eighteen-year-old Eve’s graduation from her all-girls school she discovers what really happens to new graduates, and the horrifying fate that awaits her.

Fleeing the only home she’s ever known, Eve sets off on a long, treacherous journey, searching for a place she can survive. Along the way she encounters Caleb, a rough, rebellious boy living in the wild. Separated from men her whole life, Eve has been taught to fear them, but Caleb slowly wins her trust...and her heart. He promises to protect her, but when soldiers begin hunting them, Eve must choose between true love and her life.

Alright... I was a little bit disappointed by this book. Which is very rare! I usually love any book I read, but this one just did not live up to my expectations. It just... wasn't that great. The plot was interesting, the writing and editing was good; so what went wrong? First I'll start with what I did like. I really liked Arden, the other girl that escapes school. She was tough and didn't let anyone or anything get in her way. And Caleb seemed like a great love-interest, except he's one of the first male characters that I cannot immediately visualize in  my head! Really though, that's all I can recall really liking in the novel. In my opinion, Eve was just an OK character. She wasn't someone I could really connect to AT ALL. I wanted to know more about her, but it felt like there was a huge puzzle piece missing that would make her seem like a round character! Actually, that's pretty much how it was for the entire book. Who knows, this might be one of those series that gets better in time... hopefully! It isn't one of my must-read-again, nor is it on my donate list. I will buy Once when it's released though, because I can't ever not finish a series once I've started!

Let me know what you thought of this novel because I'd love to know!
Talk to you tomorrow

In My Mailbox -4

This weekly meme is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. Every Sunday I'll put up which books I bought, borrowed or hopefully one day received for review. This way you'll have a little sneak peek on the reviews to look forward to soon!
I bought two books from Coles this week and borrowed one from the library. I'm going to a store called Hemingway's tonight, but I wouldn't be able to post this until tomorrow if I waited until after that! So here we go:

I went to Coles yesterday (Saturday) to return 'Fallen' by Lauren Kate; I decided I'll borrow it from the library instead, just because I don't think that I will like it enough to buy the entire series. Who knows, maybe I will, but for now the library is good enough for moi! So, I went, thinking that I'd just exchange the book for another until I saw this:

OMGHHKP! (if you don't know what that means, don't fret. Noone really does. See here :P) Seriously I did a little happy dance in the aisle. I asked the cashier if she knew why it was out already and she just said that they were told to put it out. I'm not questioning it. Their manager is super sweet and trustworthy so... who knows? I did see on their website that it was coming out on the 25th, but everywhere else it said the 28th. Anyways, I started reading it and it's really different from Delirium. I'll do a review in a few days, but I'm hoping that I'll love it more as I get into it!

This is the book that I decided to exchange Fallen for. I've been waiting for the paperback copy of this for so long now and when I saw it, I couldn't resist. I have heard so many great things about this book, but I usually prefer buying the paperback instead of hardcover if I'm unsure about the book, because obviously the price difference is incredible. If you've read this, what did you think? I really hope I'll enjoy it!!!

And finally, this came in from my library FINALLY! You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this book. I refuse to buy it until I know I will like it, because it isn't the usual type of book I read, but I have wanted it for so long! My friend borrowed it first and then ended up not reading it (I swear he's illiterate), and now I get it! :D YAY!

Link your IMM's down below and I'll check them out! Oh and by the way, I apologize greatly for my major faux-pas last Wednesday. I had a very confusing week and I could have sworn it was Tuesday night so I did my Teaser Tuesday, then to wake up on Thursday and realize that I messed it up completely. But the funny thing is that my Wsquared Wednesday actually was 'Divergent' and 'Pandemonium'. So, no need for it anymore!
Talk to you soon!

In my Mailbox -3

This weekly meme is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. Every Sunday I'll put up which books I bought, borrowed or hopefully one day received for review. This way you'll have a little sneak peek on the reviews to look forward to soon!
I bought two books from Coles this week and received a ton from the library. Actually, I'll tell you a little story. My school is pretty close to our public library and a ton of other establishments. So on Monday I decided to walk over to the library and then meet up with some friends at Starbucks during lunch. I went and returned the seven books I had and picked up ten more. Then I walked over to the Starbucks that was nearby and bought my drink and rushed back to school with my friends to catch the bell. Until we realized that one of my good, but forgetful mates forgot her binder on the little table inside the coffee shop. So our honorable friend decided he would risk being late and ran all the way there without stopping, and back, catching up with our group before we had gotten to the school. Either we are really slow walkers or he is a very fast runner. Anyways, here's my list of books I got this week!

Eve by Anna Carey
Fallen by Lauren Kate
Empress of the World by Sara Ryan
The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong
The Summer of Skinny Dipping by Amanda Howells
Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler
Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg
Sleeping Arrangments by Madeleine Wickham
Captivate by Carrey Jones
Th1rteen R3asons Why by Jay Asher

Help! Fallen by Lauren Kate

Hello there! Yes, I know it is Sunday and I have a lot of books to post on an IMM but that'll be later. Today, I wanted to ask a question. I picked up Fallen by Lauren Kate yesterday and I realized I should always check goodreads.com before buying a book I am unsure about. Although I have heard loads of good things about this series, I have also heard so many bad things! I seriously hate it when people compare books to Twilight, but that's all there is... is it seriously an angel version of Twilight? Don't get me wrong, I like Stephenie Meyer's saga enough, but I'm trying hard to read books with a strong female character that doesn't completely depend on her boyfriend. Good role-models... you know? I have 14 days to return the book if I decide I don't want to keep it, so I  think I'll just order it from the library. But let me know what you think, because I'd love some feedback. If everyone on here says they love it then I'll definitely keep it. But either way, I will end up reading the series.

Also, have any of you read Incarnate  by Jodi Meadows? I'm dying to read it, but for some reason my local book store doesn't have the greatest timing when it comes to new-releases and it still isn't in! You may be wondering why I don't just order it online... I actually don't know. Maybe I'll do that soon. :)

Anyways, this was not supposed to go on for as long as it did, so I will cut it off here.
Talk to you soon!

Poll question! - What's your favourite Sarah Dessen Book?

I thought I'd do something kind of fun and ask a question about the winner of each poll I give! So the winner was... Sarah Dessen! I want to know: What is your favourite Sarah Dessen book? Any YA loving female should most definitely read her work, even some of the guys if you're into that kind of book! I have read every single one and I think Along for the Ride is the one I liked the most, but I never forget to mention Lock and Key. That was the first Sarah Dessen novel I had ever read and I loved it so much! But the funny thing is, I don't actually own any of the books. I've always borrowed them from the library or my friends... maybe it's time I make some room for a few of them!

So I ask you: What's your favourite Sarah Dessen novel? Let me know!

'W' squared Wednesday -2

Something kind of funny happened to me today in English class. My teacher was reviewing paragraph structures with us and suddenly said: "I don't know any person that willingly takes time out of their sunny, Friday afternoon to write about what they just read." Everyone kind of laughed and I said quietly to the guy next to me "I do..." and he laughed so hard! Then my one of my friends who is constantly checking my posts was like "Oh yeah! Kristy does almost all the time!" My teacher just looked at me and said, "Well that's... different."  *Blogger Pride!!!* :)

Alright, on to todays meme; I thought I might start just calling these W squared, because it's a lot easier. So here's the two books I am desperately needing (one published, one not-published).

Waiting for:

Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver. Release date is February 28th 2012... AHHHHH!!!! I NEED THIS BOOK NOW!!!!! I finished Delirium a few days ago and I was both banging my head on the wall for waiting this long to read it and also for not just waiting until Pandemonium came out so I could read them back-to-back! But no... I have to wait another 13 days like all the other people who weren't able to receive and ARC. But as soon as it comes out, zoom! I'm running to the bookstore!

Wanting:

Everneath by Brodi Ashton. It came out January 24th and I am still waiting for it to come in to my local book store and stay there! I have heard so many great things about this book and I think the plot sounds really interesting. Different from what I usually read. And plus... how can anyone resist that cover?

Let me know if you've read either of these and if you liked them! I'd love to hear your opinions!
~Kristy
P.S. My review and thoughts on Delirium will be coming soon, just as soon as I can find another book to read out of my ginormous pile of to-reads!

The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

Hey there! So I've decided to not do a Teaser this week, just because I really haven't started any book since I finished Delirium by Lauren Oliver last night. I just couldn't stop thinking about what'll happen in Pandemonium! Anyway, I figured I should probably post my review on The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson finally! So here you go!

Author: Jandy Nelson
Publisher:Speak: an imprint of Penguin Group (USA)
My Rating: 5/5 ~ Adored it!

                                                                      Goodreads description:

Seventeen-year-old Lennie Walker, bookworm and band geek, plays second clarinet and spends her time tucked safely and happily in the shadow of her fiery older sister, Bailey. But when Bailey dies abruptly, Lennie is catapulted to center stage of her own life - and, despite her nonexistent history with boys, suddenly finds herself struggling to balance two. Toby was Bailey's boyfriend; his grief mirrors Lennie's own. Joe is the new boy in town, a transplant from Paris whose nearly magical grin is matched only by his musical talent. For Lennie, they're the sun and the moon; one boy takes her out of her sorrow, the other comforts her in it. But just like their celestial counterparts, they can't collide without the whole wide world exploding.

Lennie was a very real character in my opinion. She was someone who almost anyone could relate to in some way or another. You could really feel what she was feeling. This is an extremely funny book but also quite sad. It's one of those rare books that I both laughed and cried a significant amount. Now for the boys... I absolutely love Joe. I think he was so perfect for Lennie and their relationship was great. Toby was so sad though, it was hard not to feel bad for him. You find out later in the book some other important information about Bailey and it just makes you want to go and give Toby a hug, considering he should not be with Lennie! I really loved her Grandma and Uncle Big. They were both a great comic relief to the story and a helping hand to Lennie when she needed advice but didn't know it yet.

All in all, I think this book was absolutely amazing. Anyone who loves a feel-good tear-jerker should read this novel!

Bye for now!
~Kristy

One-Month Blogiversary!

Happy Valentine's day everyone! For a lot of people, this could possibly be their anniversary in their relationship; one month, one year, ten years, who knows! But for me, it's the mark of one month since I first started blogging on January 14th!

I wanted to take some time to say a great big thank you to everyone in the blogging community, especially my fellow book bloggers! Everyone is so kind and helpful around here with lots of great tips and advice. I am so grateful to the people that actually take the time to read what I wrote and subscribe. Everytime I see that little number on the left go up, it motivates me to keep this up. So thank you!

Happy Hearts Day!

In My Mailbox -2

This weekly meme is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. Every Sunday I'll put up which books I bought, borrowed or hopefully one day received for review. This way you'll have a little sneak peek on the reviews to look forward to soon!

This week I bought:
Delirium by Lauren Oliver. I have been wanting to read this book forever! But I kept getting distracted by other books or other stuff. So I finally took the initiative and bought it! I started it yesterday and I have to say I absolutely love it! I'm already so anticipating Pandemonium!

The Time-Traveling Fashionista by Bianca Turetsky. I saw this book in American Eagle and I had to have it! It's a story perfect for any book-worm/fashionista! Plus, it has some really beautiful pictures in it of different dresses that are part of the story!

That's all I got this week, I was really trying hard to control myself when I saw a book I wanted! I'm going to try (try) to refrain myself from buying a ton of books this month. I do have a ton that just came into the library that I'll go pick up in a few days, but hopefully I won't spend any money on any this week... wish me luck!

My review on Jandy Nelson's 'The Sky is Everywhere' will be up tomorrow (finally)!

Book Tag!

Hey everyone! Look at this two posts today and I still have my IMM! Hope I'm not overloading y'all but I'm having a really good day and feel like blogging!!! I was tagged by Rallu a.k.a thedaydreamer3 and this is my first tag! Thanks Rallu! I appreciate it a lot! (By the way, if you haven't already, go check out her blog, she's really great!)

The Rules:
  1. You must post the rules.
  2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you've tagged.
  3. Tag eleven people and link to them on your post.
  4. Let them know you've tagged them!
Questions from Rallu:
Who was your last book boyfriend and why?

Dimitri Belikov from Vampire Academy has been my book boyfriend since I first started reading these books! He's... godly (as Rose decribes him) and just sounds like my kind of guy. :) He's also been my only book boyfriend other than Harry Potter when I was little and those were the only books I would read. To be honest, I'm not sure who I would pick if I could choose between the two... probably Harry though, if Ginny wasn't in the way! Because honestly, I still haven't gotten my Hogwarts letter and I'd do anything to live in that world!

What is the last 5 star book you read?
The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson, (if you couldn't already tell by my raving about it!). The review will be up soon! Hopefully tomorrow!

If money were not an issue, what would you buy yourself at this very instant?
Hmm... can I pick two things? I would buy tickets to Ed Sheeran's concert in any city possible (and also travel and accomodations) because I can't get tickets for where I live sadly. And I would also buy an apartment in Manhattan filled to the roof with books that I will love or already love!

What is your favourite movie?
The Notebook or any of the Harry Potter movies.

What is your favourite song this week?
Beside You by Marianas Trench
Or
 Firefly by Ed Sheeran

A book you've read at least 3 times?
I've read every single Harry Potter book at least ten times, some more than others. (That is why some are currently being held together by tape.) What can I say other than those are the best books ever? But not including Harry Potter, I've read the Twilight Saga all more than three times each and some others that I can't recall right now...

What Tv Shows are you currently watching?
Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl, Glee, Desperate Housewives, The L.A. Complex, Parenthood, Biggest Loser and The Big Bang Theory.

Do you like spoilers (Not major one.)?
Sometimes, but it depends on which books it is. For example, I am desperate for any hints on what is going to happen in Richelle Mead's 'The Golden Lily' but any new books or series, not really. It's only if I'm really into a series and the next book doesn't come out for a long time that I'll look at little mini spoilers, approved by the author!

What's your favourite Genre?
Young Adult Paranormal Romance or YA 'Summer Reads'. Really anything with a little bit of romance in them!

What book/series got you hooked on reading?
I bet you can guess it... HARRY POTTER! I mean, how many times do I have to say I adore these books? My dad gave me the first book when I was, I think five years old and he had a collection of them going (books 1-4) so that I could read them as soon as I completed the previous one! Those are the books I learned how to read with!

Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I'm really the only one of my friends who is an avid reader. They read, but not as much as I do, nor as passionately as I do. So I figured why not start something where I can talk about the books I read without being criticized or teased about being a 'bookworm' or nerd (though I am proud of each of those things). And I have found the book blogging community so welcoming and so supportive of everyone! Definitely what I needed!

Questions:
  1. If you could live in any book universe, which would it be? Why?
  2. Which ten books can you not live without?
  3. What makes you pick up a book? The cover, the title? Does your mood affect your choices?
  4. Have you ever heard a song that made you think of a scene from a book? Explain.
  5. What is your favorite poem? Why?
  6. Who is your favorite musician/band at the moment?
  7. Do you like fanfics? Why or why not?
  8. What is your biggest book pet-peeve? Explain.
  9. Have you ever fallen head-over-heels in love with a book, so that you cannot stop thinking about it? Which one?
  10. Do you have a favorite reading 'spot'? Explain!
  11.  If you could choose one book character to come out of their world and into ours, who would it be?
  12.
I TAG:
Krystal @Live to Read
Angela @Reading Angel
Rebecca @The Book Frog

I'd love to tag more people but I have to adhere to the rules! So feel free to do this TAG if you'd like! (Shh!!!)

~Kristy

Tidbit: CONCERT!

Hello! Alright, I apologize in advance if you were hoping for my review on The Sky is Everywhere (that is coming either later today or tomorrow), but I thought I'd do a little 'Tidbit' since I haven't done one of those in a while... So last night I went to a concert with a few of my friends and I have to say.. I don't think I have much of a voice! It was the Simple Plan concert with These Kids Wear Crowns, All Time Low and Marianas Trench. If you haven't heard of them... I'd suggest youtubing one of them ASAP (if you like kind of.. pop/rock/punk (but not punk)/upbeat music. All of them are Canadian except for All Time Low and I have to say this, Canada seriously produces some great musicians. As does Europe, wouldn't you say so? *Canadian Pride!!!*

Marianas Trench
So yes, the concert. It was the most fun I've had in so long! I can't remember the last time I have smiled, screamed, laughed nor talked so much! All four of the bands really know how to work up a crowd and engage the audience. If you ever have the chance to see Simple Plan, take it! They're so amazing! As are the other four!
Simple Plan

If you could pick one band/singer to see in concert, who would it be? For me, I'm dying to see Ed Sheeran in concert but all the tickets for the Snow Patrol concert that he's opening for are sold out! *rampage!!!* And I'd love to see Hedley or Taylor Swift! Haha ok so that was three, and now I can check off MT and SP off my list!

TGIF: What is the oldest book you own?

Happy Friday! I've decided I would start a little TGIF thing where I will post a random Question & Answer each Friday and if you want to join in on this 'meme-ish' thing then you can! So today I wanted to start off with this question: What is the oldest book you own? As in, do you own a book that was published in the early 1900s? Or is the oldest book you own only from 1996? Tell me the story of how you got it if you have one!

The oldest book I own is Petland by Rev. J.G. Wood. Want to know when my copy was published? 1891. It has this amazing hand-written note in it from a man to his granddaughter telling her how proud he is of her in her schooling. It's really cool owning something like this! My dad had given it to me a little while ago, after I think he found it either somewhere in the house or at a garage/book sale.

So, I ask you, what's your oldest book? What's it's story?

:) ~Kristy

Wanting and Waiting for Wednesdays -1

Greetings! This is my first meme I have started on my own, even though I know there are tons just like this one, I haven't been able to find one exactly like this (but send me a link if you know where to find one!). It is inspired by 'Waiting on Wednesday' -started at Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday I will post a book I am waiting for it's release in 2012 and also any books I am wanting to read but haven't had the chance yet. Then hopefully, my next IMM will have one of those books in it! (Crossing fingers). Feel free to join me in this bookish meme!

Waiting For:
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

If you've been a follower since the very beginning, you may remember my first reviews were on 'The Wolves of Mercy Falls' books. I loved those books so much except the ending of 'Forever' left me disappointed. But I'm expecting this will be a great read! Check it out for yourself - Filled with mystery, romance, and the supernatural, The Raven Boys introduces readers to Richard “Dick” Campbell Gansey, III and Blue Sargent. Gansey has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on the hunt to find Glendower, a vanished Welsh king. Legend has it that the first person to find him will be granted a wish—either by seeing him open his eyes, or by cutting out his heart.

Blue Sargent, the daughter of the town psychic in Henrietta, Virginia, has been told for as long as she can remember that if she ever kisses her true love, he will die. But she is too practical to believe in things like true love. Her policy is to stay away from the rich boys at the prestigious Aglionby Academy. The boys there—known as Raven Boys—can only mean trouble. When Gansey and his Raven Boy friends come into her life, Blue realizes how true this is. She never thought her fortune would be a problem. But she was wrong.

Comes out September 18th 2012! Way too long!

Wanting:

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Last week when I was at the mall, I walked by the book store and saw they has signed copies of this book. I didn't really look at it -because I was determined to find another book- until I had paid and was leaving. I had to leave by then, and so I didn't get the chance to buy a copy signed by the author. Now, it is my number one book on my list! Here's what it's about - Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten. Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning author John Green's most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love

Sounds amazing right? I'm so in love with it already! If you've read it, let me know what you think!

That's all for this week, even though there's tons more!

This is my first 'Teaser Tuesday' and I'd just like to start of by saying that all the information regarding these posts and any other memes will be in the page Weekly Memes!.

I've decided to start doing 'In My Mailbox' posts, where every week or so I'll post the books I've bought, borrowed, received, etc. That way, you can have a little viewing of what reviews to expect soon! I've seen this on a number of different book blogs and websites but it all started on www.thestorysiren.com. Enjoy!

I started this already and it's super cute and really cool. There's a ton of pictures in it!
The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin
I am so excited to start this! I heard about it from Blair Fowler's other channel (otherjuicystar07)
and decided that I needed to get this ASAP!
The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
I know this book has about three different covers circulating
but this is the one I got and I think it's so so pretty!

The Golden Lily Description!

Hello everyone! I had the nice surprise after school today while checking out Richelle Mead's blog... The Golden Lily description is out! Let`s celebrate!

Isn't that exciting!? For any Vampire Academy fans this is BIG. There's just over four months until it's release on June 19th. I'm already trying to plan out if it would be better to go to the bookstore the day it is released or the day after! I`d love to pre-order it but there are too many risks that I am not willing to take... So here's the link to Richelle's blog. If you know the VA series and Bloodlines then hopefully this is something exciting to make you smile if you haven't already seen it.

Sounds exciting doesn't it? I saw somewhere that this book will be a little bit more exciting than the previous, much like how the VA books got more and more suspenseful and exciting as the time went on. If you haven't already read Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, they are the number one book series I would recommend. Give them a try if you'd like!
Have a good night (or day, if that's what it is for you!)

Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson

Hello fellow book-worms! I finished a novel the other night called 'Before I Go To Sleep' by a British author S.J. Watson. It's a book written for adults but I'd been eying it up since August and I finally decided to buy it. It follows the story of Christine, a 47 year-old amnesiac who wakes up every morning not knowing where she is, who the man sleeping next to her is, nor how old she is. Sounds very '50 First Dates' right? I thought so at first but it's actually a very chilling thriller that leaves you wanting more.

Author: S.J. Watson
Publisher: HarperCollins Publishers Ltd.
Rating: 4.5 / 5
Christine wakes up every morning in an unfamiliar bed with an unfamiliar man. She looks in the mirror and sees an unfamiliar, middle- aged face. And every morning, the man she has woken up with must explain that he is Ben, he is her husband, she is forty-seven years old, and a terrible accident two decades earlier decimated her ability to form new memories.
But it’s the phone call from a Dr. Nash, a neurologist who claims to be working with Christine without her husband’s knowledge, that directs her to her journal, hidden in the back of her closet. For the past few weeks, Christine has been recording her daily activities—tearful mornings with Ben, sessions with Dr. Nash, flashes of scenes from her former life—and rereading past entries, relearning the facts of her life as retold by the husband she is completely dependent upon. As the entries build up, Christine asks many questions. What was life like before the accident? Why did she and Ben never have a child? What has happened to Christine’s best friend? And what exactly was the horrific accident that caused such a profound loss of memory?
Every day, Christine must begin again the reconstruction of her past. And the closer she gets to the truth, the more unbelievable it seems.

This book left my thoughts reeling the minute I turned the last page. S.J. Watson has an extraordinary talent for making you feel like everything in the novel is happening right before your eyes, or even better: happening to you. This was probably one of the best 'non-series' novels I've ever read. It was engaging, emotional and very addicting. There is some 'adult content' in this book, but other than that I'd recommend it for almost anyone.

Please follow! I'd love to reach ten sooner or later!
